Education Partners
We owe a great debt to the children and spouses of America’s military service members.
Education brings lifelong empowerment-transforming individuals, families, and communities for generations to come. By building strategic partnerships that enhance access to higher education opportunities for military and veteran families, VPF removes financial barriers, fosters a collaborative support network, and enables military-affiliated students to achieve their full potential.
We owe a great debt to the children and spouses of America’s military service members and believe education brings lifelong empowerment- transforming individuals, families, and communities for generations to come.
Valor Partners Foundation is dedicated to bridging the higher education financial gap for underserved spouses and children of 100% disabled or deceased veterans. The VA's Dependent’s Education Assistance (DEA) benefit, also known as Chapter 35, is often insufficient to meet the full cost of degree completion.
By building strategic partnerships that enhance access to higher education opportunities for military and veteran families, VPF removes financial barriers, fosters a collaborative support network, and enables military-affiliated students to achieve their full potential.
Education is a pathway to solving complex problems military and veteran families face, including barriers to economic opportunity, mental and physical health challenges, isolation and depression, transitions to civilian life, and more.
VPF strategically allies with higher education institutions that have military and veteran resources and programs available on their campuses. Scholarships draw students into a network of peers, caregivers, mentors, and service providers who enhance their higher education experience and outcomes.
We work closely with our partner schools, entrusting them with the discretion to administer and award scholarships to meet the needs of their students. Both parties work collaboratively to secure resources to enhance the student’s overall educational experience.

Memorandum of Understanding
Through our partnerships, students not only receive the financial assistance needed for tuition, fees, supplies, and other essentials but also the assurance of being valued and supported by their community.
Our 5-year MOU is not legally binding; it is a shared commitment to empower veteran families through higher education support.
Scholarships are need-based, with a minimum annual award of $500 per academic year.
Since 2019, awards have ranged from $500 to $10,000, covering essential expenses such as tuition, fees, supplies, on-campus housing, meal plans, and even on-campus childcare.
Partner schools provide annual reports on fund disbursement and success.
Currently, we have 37 signed MOUs with colleges, universities, and technical schools and 1 additional signed with the Kansas Independent Colleges Association (KICA), providing access to its 21 member institutions. In all, 58 schools across 13 states are in the Valor Partners network!
